Lifestyle Family Portraits | Columbus, Ohio

You know a while ago when the internet was trending with people recreating old family photos from like the 90’s. They either tried to take the photo in the same clothes, in the same spot, or at least making the same faces and posing the same.

Well, for the first time I was asked to do that for a family! Taylor reached out to me and wanted to book a family portrait session but with one special request, to recreate this one particular photo:

Four generations of this beautiful family gathered together at home to capture these beautiful lifestyle portraits. We decided it would be best to take them at home because we then wouldn’t have to deal with the Ohio weather that is ever changing this time of year, and the great-grandparents who are in their 90’s could be comfortable!

That’s honestly my favorite part about lifestyle portrait sessions. How much more comfortable can you be than in your own home!

I brought my little Fujifilm camera and my external flash and had so much fun spending time with this family. It’s amazing how when families gather together, even though it isn’t your family, you can feel the love in the room. The home was full of laughter, love & joy and that is what I wanted to document.
